First the Palace. Then the Church.
DinkSF began with portable nets and taped lines at the Palace of Fine Arts. The community outgrew the space, so we gave it a permanent home: a century-old church on Fillmore, rebuilt for indoor pickleball.
Where DinkSF comes from

The Palace of Fine Arts
Our first courts were pop-ups inside the Palace of Fine Arts, built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition. We brought nets, tape, and spare paddles for anyone who wanted to try. Strangers rotated in, stayed for one more game, and came back the next weekend. That group became the club.

The Church of Pickleball
When the community outgrew the Palace, we found a home worthy of where we started: a century-old church on Fillmore with high ceilings, stained glass, and room for dedicated indoor courts. Now the club plays year-round, rain or fog, with the same open invitation we had at the Palace.
Open play is the heart of the club
DinkSF was started by people who love pickleball, love teaching it, and wanted a third space for the city: not home, not work, just a place to show up and play. Rack your paddle, rotate on, and meet whoever is up next. Most of our regulars met each other that way.
Coaching at the top of the game
Every DinkSF coach is PPR certified, and most of them compete. They run bootcamps for first-timers, drill sessions for regulars, and skill-specific clinics when you want one shot fixed. Ask any of them about their favorite shot. They all have an answer ready.
